Christmas Markets in Italy
The Bruneck Christmas Markets is a good place to find a last minute present, or to take advantage of the wide range of decorations for your house.
The vicinity of the ski slopes also gives the opportunity to dedicate a few hours sport in between the market visit, and to try the local gastronomic offer.
Car parks
In Bruneck there are cheap car parks and free car parks in proximity of the train station, as well as near Piazza Mercato and the school area.

How to get to Bruneck
By train
from the train station you can reach the town centre by taxi or by public transports
By plane
The international airports of Verona Villafranca and Bolzano are the nearest airports. From there you can easily reach Bruneck by railway.
By car
Auto route A22 exit in Brixen. Follow the state road Pusteria for about 25 km until Bruneck.
Children
For the youngest visitors a special program has been organized, with fairy tales and numerous initiatives. Children can also choose among the merry-go-round, which is staged in the old town, a ride on the little Christmas train, or even a pony ride through the market.

During the Markets period, at weekends the old town of Bruneck is enlivened with a string of concerts held in Piazza Municipio and Via Bastioni, with horn and trumpet musicians. The event Vivere il Natale a Bruneck permits to join guided visits in the old town every Saturday and Sunday.
Also, at weekends free tastings of milk and cheese products of Alto Adige are offered, with the possibility to buy the same products directly from the producers.
