In this magic setting, Christmas Market entertains young and adults, leading them to the discovery of the purest popular culture of Trentino and Tyrol, following the footsteps of the noble Habsburg tradition.
In fact, during the Advent time the glorious days and elegance of the 19th century are evocated in Levico, bringing tourists back to that age when the village was chosen as holiday resort by the European and Austrian aristocracy.
A magic atmosphere, to live maybe on board of a refined carriage drawn by horses, which runs through the streets of the city centre and the most fascinating corners of the village.
Or you may take the little train which connects the Christmas Market with many parts of the town.
Walking along the snow-covered avenues of the park, one can buy or simply admire original products of the local craftsmanship, toys and ornaments for tree and cribs; typical food products and some local specialties like chestnuts, all accompanied with smoking mulled wine, mountain honey, meat products (skoed ham from wild porks, deers and goose).
A good chance to finish your Christmas shopping in the most authentical popular alpine culture. Concerts, choirs, itinerant musicians, folkloristic groups will also be part of the entertainment offered in Levico, which will turn the park into a lively stage.
